Precision Musket Drill

The 78th are trained in 18th Century Precision Musket Drill.
Our demonstrations can be as simple as firing one shot, or as elaborate and impressive as a full musket demonstration. The full show is consists of firing of four volleys: the first fired at the command of a Sergeant, the second has the Squad load and fire to the beat of a highland drum, and the third and fourth volleys are fired as quickly as possible, in a competition to determine which soldier is the fastest shot! The show ends with a bayoneted charge, marked by the battle cry of the fierce highlander.
